In 2009 Steve Bauhr competed in what was then the second ever “Mustang Make Over“. It was held at the Sacramento, CA Horse Expo with 30 trailers chosen to compete in this new and exciting event. Of the 30 participants, Steve and his Mustang mare, Tonapha, came in 16th place.
All the trainers did a fabulous job, considering they all received four-year-old mares who had been wild just 3-6 months prior, living in the Battle Mountain area of Nevada.
Steve was honored to be a part of the event and has since planned to write a book on the experience.
